We are building a new product for Nepal where customer experience and business reputation meet in the same platform.

As a UI/UX Design Intern, you will help shape how people experience that product from the very beginning. You will work on both sides of the platform: the customer experience, where people discover businesses, compare experiences, read reviews, and make decisions, and the business experience, where businesses manage their profiles, understand customer feedback, and build their reputation.

This is not a role focused only on making screens look attractive.

You will be involved in understanding what users need, why they behave the way they do, where they get confused, and how design can make the product feel trustworthy and effortless. You will turn ideas and complex product requirements into clear user flows, wireframes, interfaces, prototypes, and design systems.

Because we are building something from the ground up, your work can directly influence how the product feels and functions. There will be room to challenge assumptions, test ideas, learn from real users, and iterate.

A review platform has an unusual design challenge: trust needs to be visible without becoming overwhelming. Customers need to understand reviews quickly, while businesses need meaningful ways to respond to feedback and understand their reputation. Your job is to help make that complexity feel simple.

What you’ll do

  • Design experiences for both customer-facing and business-facing products.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
  • Translate product requirements and user problems into clear, intuitive experiences.
  • Design key experiences around business discovery, search, reviews, ratings, business profiles, user accounts, dashboards, and feedback.
  • Work on mobile-first and responsive web experiences.
  • Conduct basic user research, interviews, usability testing, and competitor/product research.
  • Identify usability problems and propose design improvements based on evidence.
  • Create prototypes to communicate and test ideas before development.
  • Work closely with product managers, developers, marketers, and AI/ML engineers.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are practical, consistent, and accurately implemented.
  • Help create and maintain a reusable design system and component library as the product grows.
  • Think about accessibility, information hierarchy, interaction patterns, responsive behavior, and edge cases.
  • Review implemented features and provide design feedback before release.
  • Analyze how users interact with the product and iterate based on feedback and data.
  • Help shape the visual language and overall personality of the brand.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong understanding of UI/UX fundamentals, including user flows, hierarchy, spacing, typography, layout, interaction design, and usability.
  • Comfortable using tools such as Figma or similar design software.
  • Ability to create clean, modern, and functional interfaces—not just visually attractive screens.
  • Basic understanding of responsive design and mobile-first thinking.
  • Curious about user behavior and interested in understanding the reasoning behind design decisions.
  • Willingness to research, test, receive feedback, and iterate.
  • Good attention to detail and consistency.
  • Ability to communicate design decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical teammates.
  • Comfortable working in an early-stage environment where requirements can evolve quickly.
  • Understanding of basic frontend concepts such as HTML, CSS, responsive layouts, and component-based interfaces is a plus.
  • Experience with design systems, usability testing, prototyping, or user research is a strong advantage.

WhatsApp or Viber is fine — we do most first conversations by phone.

PDF, DOC or DOCX, up to 5MB.

These two answers matter as much as your CV. We read every one, and a person here reads it — not a filter.

Two or three sentences. Specifics about what we're building or how we work are more useful than general enthusiasm — one concrete reason beats a paragraph.

What was your role, and what were you personally responsible for? What made it hard, and how did you handle it? A few sentences is plenty — link to it if it's public.

There's no automated reply — if we want to talk, we'll call or email you directly.
